David P. Levine

Dave is a partner at Sheridan Levine LLP. He is an AV rated lawyer, whose practice focuses exclusively on the defense of employers and insurers in workers’ compensation, OHSA and related liability matters.

Dave grew up in Minnesota, earning a B.A. at Colorado College, (1976). After working in a New England mill and playing ice hockey he returned to academics earning an M.A. at University of Colorado (1980), and a law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School, with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law in 1984.

He is a member of the Oregon (1984) and Washington Bars (1994), as well as the U.S. District Court of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. After law school he worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Washington County, moving to an insurance defense practice in 1987. He has lectured to the Oregon State Bar, the Douglas County Orthopedic Association and other medical groups, the WCCA and other claims associations, self-insured employers, third party administrators and insurers on all aspects of workers’ compensation practice. He is past counsel for the Oregon State Hockey Association.
